I’m no wizard… but when it comes to nutrition, I know a thing or two. But I’m also no liar. So I won’t say there is any black magic or that there are any “hacks” (hate that word) inside nutrition.
Because there isn’t.
There’s preparation and periodization. Executing that plan. Then consistency within that plan.
But there are five things you need to know. Five things that our top performance and physique athletes, as well as the countless gen pop clients we personally work, do on a daily basis that get them next level results.
#1 – THEY TRACK DAILY.
Not just macros, but biofeedback. What’s not tracked, doesn’t grow. So I understand the merit behind NOT tracking because it can be overwhelming or tedious…
But from years of coaching experience, I also know that it’s not tracking – it’s how you’re tracking that becomes overwhelming. It’s not a coincidence that all success comes from tracking – adjusting – progressing. It’s a system and results are not built without a system.
#2 – THEY COMMIT TO LEARNING.
There’s a reason I talk about education so much… it’s the key to awareness, compliance and consistency. All 3 things that lead to SUSTAINABLE results. You can’t change your body comp or performance without truly educating yourself.
#3 – THEY PERIODIZE.
They’re not in it for a 30 day fat loss challenge or detox…They’re not even putting a deadline on their success, to be honest. They care about 1 thing – SUCCEEDING.
Which means they have an open timeline, allowing us (the coaches) to properly periodize so they can do this thing the right way and hold onto their results for long after we’re done.
#4 – THEY DON’T DO IT ALONE.
Not even trying to plug what we do… but hey, it’s the truth. Nobody successful is self-made. That’s a made up term to boost ego and make rap lyrics sound cool. Everyone has, needs, and grows more, with coaches and mentors.
- Accountability. It’s critical for consistency.
- Experience. They LEARN from the mentors or coaches mistakes.
#5 – THEY’RE NOT DOGMATIC.
Rarely ever do they preach a dogmatic approach like keto or intermittent fasting.
Do those things work?
Are they the holy grail?
But successful people understand that. They know that it’s all individual and all these “diets” are really just tools and strategies, which gives us more information to customize the plan we need for ourselves. That’s why a good diet, doesn’t end. It’s a nutrition plan, actually – not a diet.
To cap this all off for you…
I’m implying one specific idea.
YOU NEED NUTRITION.
